 British Classic Coaches

The British coach served the nation well from the early 1900s and continues that tradition today. The earliest charabancs were extremely crude with their solid tyres and poor suspension, but as manufacturers began developing new and purpose built vehicles, travelling became more civilised and during the 1930s coaches were of such a high standard of finish that they were, in some cases , more luxurious than motor cars. A collection of various coaches is presented below showing vehicles spanning four decades.

Prints are available from all the images and can be ordered from this gallery or from the appropriate operators listed in the main menu. Originals can also be purchased and for details please contact the Artist direct.
